William Reynish (billreynish) lowered the priority of this task from 90 to 50.Apr 4 2019, 12:45 PM

The vertex-per-face normals do update and rotate:

But regular vertex normals and face normals do not.

Hard to say if it's a bug, missing feature, or if it works as intended. Setting to confirmed for now, since it's not entirely clear.

@Clément Foucault (fclem) Do you know about this area? If not feel free to re-assign.

Can't tell if this is a bug or not.

Sebastian Parborg (zeddb) claimed this task.

Not a bug, only the custom normals can be manipulated.

Still, this isn't really clear for users why some of the normal display types update to reflect custom normals, but others do not.

We could probably at least clarify things by giving them a better name like Custom Normals, or something that makes the difference clearer.
