average island scale not work with multiple objects

Hello,
it seems that, when i select multiple objects, that are already uv unrwaped and want to scale it to each other, that the actual Blenderbuild don´t scale it to different objects. For example. I have a big collum. And on this collum is a small box. When i select both objects and make average island scale, then the small box get whey too big uv-islands compared to the big collum. When i did this in past with textureatlas it worked fine. Will this be fixed, because if not, in future i always must scale all objects manually and by big modles its a lot of more work.
