CUDA error when baking normalmap
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Windows-10-10.0.16299 64 Bits
GeForce GTX 1080/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 419.67
Blender 2.80 (sub 55), branch: blender2.7, commit date: 2019-04-09 18:12, hash: rB009dbc2bc9fb

  • Open file.
  • Press "Bake". There's a transparent hole where the baked part should be:

  • If you press "Bake" again, error message appears in the info:
CUDA error at cuCtxCreate: Illegal address

  • When I switch to CPU, Blender crashes.

If you remove subdivision modifier, save the file and restart Blender, then it will render correctly. But if you add subdivision it will fail again.
If I paste object to 2.79, normal map renders correctly.

Event Timeline

It has been fixed in recent builds ( 860a9f979d60 ). Doesn't crash any more.
