Event Timeline

Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) lowered the priority of this task from 90 to 50.

Not 100% sure, but can confirm there is something going on that seems weird to my eyes as well.

@Clément Foucault (fclem): there seems to be a difference in edge highlighting between Display modifier in Editmode ON/OFF. Adjust Edit cage to modifier result resumes to "better" edge highlighting if turned ON...

so apperantly this got fixed today with:
https://developer.blender.org/D4907

will test once the build is aviable and will close task if it fix problem.

I am sadly to report that with today build (22/05/2019) the bug is still visible. i don't know if that fix is included in that build.

D4907 fixed a different issue, not related to this bug report.

Clément Foucault (fclem) lowered the priority of this task from 50 to Low.May 30 2019, 6:23 PM

This is due to the edit mode antialiasing not using the MSAA buffer. I would like to fix this but this requires a relatively massive refactor of how we draw overlays.
Basically we should draw all overlays as one draw engine instead of multiple ones.

So I will consider this low priority.

Note that with the overlay refactor this issue is much less noticeable but still here.

Richard Antalik (ISS) changed the task status from Confirmed to Needs Information from User.Feb 2 2020, 11:02 PM

I have re-triaged this report and can not reproduce it.
Can you please check if this is still an issue in latest build?

This should have been fixed by the overlay refactor.

Clément Foucault (fclem) changed the subtype of this task from "Report" to "Known Issue".

Sorry I was too quick. It still happens. But I would say it's a known issue for now as it's not something I will be fixing soon.
