"i" hotkey to insert keyframe doesn't work in color picker
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

Operating system: Kubuntu 18.10, 4.18.0-22-generic #23-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jun 4 20:22:46 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Graphics card: NVIDIA Corporation GP106 [GeForce GTX 1060 6GB] (rev a1)
Broken: 2.80, 9c5d54bfaf48

The color picker widget does not respond to the "i" hotkey to insert a keyframe.

E.g. go into shader editor, click color swatch to open the color picker for the base color, try to insert keyframe with "i" over the red channel value.

Inserting keyframes via the right-click menu does work.

Cannot reproduce. It works normally here. Are you using facttory defaults?

Yes -- blank profile.

We're talking about the same place, right? (Shown here from Materials tab, but same issue.)

Just tested this in Windows as well, commit c0c1b4542f39 -- same issue.

You indeed can't keyframe there, it's just not supported.

I'm confused -- you can keyframe there, with the right click context menu... but not via the "I" key? Or maybe that's what you meant.
