Text editor becomes out of sync in object mode

Description

Reporting for reference, Tested with a7ac40888f530c12f137b3f6249b6f1dcfae3ea3

With the default startup, perform the following actions.

  • Make the properties editor into a text editor.
  • Add a new test block.
  • Type AA
  • Duplicate the default cube.
  • Undo once

The text in the text editor will be empty.

Note that this is similar to T66658: Text editor becomes out of sync in edit mode.

Double checked, this is still happening here (it's asserting which is correct, but in release builds the text vanishes).

I wanted to mention that this may be related to the undo sync issues I'm having while animating. https://developer.blender.org/T66325

I know exactly which version of 2.8 Beta was working properly before the "Undo Keyframe Sync" issue started... Windows 2.8 (8b2b79c2108b) was the last version that worked without Undo Sync issues. It was released sometime around June 5th or 6th. Every version after that one has been out of Sync with Undo.
