Installing Blender 2.80 alongside Blender 2.79 deletes Blender 2.79 (not expecting that)

Description

So as Blender 2.80 is very new, I wanted to install it alongside Blender 2.79. So when it asked where to install it, I selected a new directory. /Blender Foundation/Blender2.80/ expecting all the files to be installed into that directory.

It installed to that directory, but the /Blender Foundation/Blender/ was uninstalled

Is that expected or a bug?

If expected, then maybe this should be the case, as I should be able to install both side by side.

Duplicate of T67965. I don't have task merge rights, so I'll just close regularly. I don't know if this is a bug, still waiting for a developer response in T67965.
