Installed Gaffer lighting addon. Tried to enable the HDRi tick box but won't remains empty, no tick mark.

hi, this bug tracker is for addons that come bundled with Blender. Unfortunately we don't have time to look at external addons. It's best in this case to contact the author and report the issue to him.
That said, do you have the correct version? I tested the updated version of Gaffer and found no issue with the checkbox you had issues with in a 2.81 nightly build, should be same in 2.8.
