Short description of error
when hitting the rig button of rigify it crashes blender

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
activate rigify addon
create human metarig
under armature go to "generate rig"
crash!

This is also caused by rBf041d2f1163c: Fix T65671: Armature X-Mirror inconsistencies (same as T69165). It is not the Addon code (well not primarily...).
Bandaid posted in T69165 also prevents crash in the case of this report.

Actually... these are really the same thing, T69165 also had its origins in Rigifiy, so will merge these reports...
