Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

System Information
Operating system: Windows-7-6.1.7601-SP1 64 Bits
Graphics card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 Intel 4.4.0 - Build 20.19.15.4285

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.81 (sub 10), branch: master, commit date: 2019-09-10 22:12, hash: rB4ce3fbd52ae8

Short description of error
When creating an armature, the mesh that should be inside the bones is displayed in the opposite direction and always starting at the origin. When adding bones they continue the armature, but the mesh still starts at the origin.
That only applies to the forms Octahedral and B-Bones. Custom bone shapes are affected as well, they work with no form.
Custom bones do work when Viewport Display is set to wireframe.

Note:
we tested to export this to another pc and there the bug did not occure.
When testing from the other pc back with a non-corupt file it did occure.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

*Open new Blender File and add Armature.
Or
*open attached File

Thank You!

It seems that the driver of your video card is not the most current.
Try installing the latest version of the drive from the Intel website:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/88345/Intel-HD-Graphics-530

I installed the latest driver but the problem is still there.

Brecht Van Lommel (brecht) renamed this task from Bone Mesh Viewport Display broken to Armature display issues with Intel 5x0 GPU.Sep 18 2019, 6:54 PM

Please ensure you installed this one specifically:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28694/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-45-?product=88345

If that doesn't help, please attach the output of Help > Save System Info.

@Joana Zimmermann (Chutney), try to run blender_debug_gpu_glitchworkaround.cmd that is included in the download and confirm that the problem seems to be solved.
This can help in the investigation.

@Brecht Van Lommel (brecht) I tried installing that one directly but I cant because my Laptop runs custom ones.

@Germano Cavalcante (mano-wii) The cmd seems to have solved the Problem.

@Germano Cavalcante (mano-wii), I guess you can then add this driver version to the workaround list? Since it's likely more about driver than graphics card model?
