Graphics card: AMD Radeon Pro 580 OpenGL Engine ATI Technologies Inc. 4.1 ATI-3.0.68

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.81 (sub 14), branch: master, commit date: 2019-10-08 22:16, hash: rB0812949bbc3d
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
As soon as I open Blender GPU usage will max out, close to 100%, fans will kick on and it will stay that way until I close Blender.
What's weird is that this happens on both my Windows machine and my Mac, running the same version number of Blender. It's weird cause I thought Blender doesn't utilize the GPU on Macs.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

I have no steps or file.... just start Blender and view the Activity Monitor.

Blender uses GPUs and in your case it is likely compiling the shaders for all the 2.80 EVEE and workbench, and UI shaders. It should settle a bit after it opens for the first time though. A quick test is to switch the viewport editor to the text editor and see if things get better.

  1. Do you have the latest drivers in both platforms?
  1. Also do you have the same situation if you run the latest stable Blender 2.80 instead of the daily build?

@Dalai Felinto (dfelinto)
-I let Blender run for 10 minutes and on both platforms and Blender is still pulling max on my GPU.

-I have the latest drivers for both systems.

-Blender wasn't doing this until the most recent build (the build I linked in OP).

-----The latest builds, as of this morning, have resolved the issue------- I guess this task can be closed now.

Thanks!
