Short description of error
Blender closes when selecting and deselecting the faces several times in a row in edit mode with Ctrl button pressed and Left clic.

Could you please test the most recent build of 2.82 alpha? I couldn't reproduce your issue with the most recent master, perhaps your problem is related to T72309 which has been fixed.
