Hello!
Thank you for your great job guys!

Please say is it difficult to add maintenance old Alembic format (HDF5)
Some of my important software export only to HDF5 and its a big sorrow that I cant use it in Blender directly.
I have to convert it via Houdini, but it complicate my workflow extremely.

You can suggest features on right-click select, ask developers about it on Blender Chat or if you want to get involved in the development DevTalk may be suitable as well.

HDF5 has been an optional feature of Alembic since 2016. You can build Blender yourself with experimental HDF5 support, but AFAIK it's never been officially supported in Blender.

It's probably easier to have the old software support Ogawa (the current Alembic backend format) than the other way around.

In any case, this is not a support forum or a place to ask for new features, so I'll close this task as 'Invalid'. That's not a reflection of your desire, I understand that it would make your life easier. It's just that I don't want to start supporting now an Alembic feature that's already obsolete.
