Blender 2.8 crashes while compiling scene
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

System Information
Operating system: Mac Catalina 10.15.1
Graphics card:
Radeon Pro Vega 20 4 GB
Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

Blender Version
Broken: Version 2.81a (2.81a 2019-12-04)
Worked: 2.79

I have created a blend file. The total animation is about 450 frames long.
When I start to animate sequence using cycles the animation randomly quits in 30-50 frames

Open the attached blend file
lava_E5_s6_lavaChambers_Lava280_WCollision_working.blend
Set the frames to start at 250 and end 445
[you will probably have to change where the files are stored]
Render Animation

[last time I ran this it stopped at frame 297]

[here is a complete dump]

Please try to simplify the file. Also it would be nice if you could make it work in Blender 2.82 (the fluid simulation system has changed). Not sure if the simulation is responsible for the crash, maybe you can just remove it for the sake of the bug report.

I rendered up to frame 330, but did not get a crash yet. I also removed the sample count to make it render faster.
