Event Timeline

Richard Antalik (ISS) changed the task status from Needs Triage to Confirmed.Jan 23 2020, 11:34 AM

This is not relating to the Custom Distance, it was using the [old] shadow clip end [now removed].
Clip Start is still considered as the starting point of the line, but yeah, the end is arbitrary.

@Clément Foucault (fclem), @Jeroen Bakker (jbakker): not sure, Known Issue? the line can still help for orientation sometimes... wouldnt mind it being removed though... for clarity, the dot at the end should go, it has no meaning now...

Clément Foucault (fclem) changed the subtype of this task from "Report" to "Bug".

I know a middle ground: I'll put the endpoint at 1.5 times the cone size.

Or maybe i'll make it use the custom distance... Seems like a weird way to change it but at least there is a way to make it less "in your face".

IMHO

  1. yes, it can help to aim spotlight
  2. Yes, a bit weird to change it with custom distance, when it is disabled, but in other hand, there is no point to add new value only for «length of those stick»
