I could no longer reproduce either, does this still happen @RedMser (RedMser)

Still happens for me on version: 2.83 (sub 8), branch: master, commit date: 2020-03-12 00:33, hash: rB8751af6d1902 with the same system info as in the task.

The length of the line seems to vary greatly, for example it's much shorter with factory startup (in that case, it doesn't even extend past the dropdown area - but it still shows up under the same conditions).
Creating new panels via splitting also affects this.

If there's anything I can do to help fixing the issue, let me know.

@RedMser (RedMser) I am checking on old reports, and there is good chance this has been already fixed. Can you still reproduce this in latest builds?

Just tested in 2.91.0 and the bug is fixed there, no problems anymore.
Still happens in LTS 2.83.9 but this probably isn't important enough to backport, if the exact commit that fixed it isn't known.

Richard Antalik (ISS) claimed this task.

Thanks for update. I think this is very minor glitch for LTS at least on the surface. We would have to bisect to check what fixed this.
