Can confirm.

@Hans Goudey (HooglyBoogly) : guess this is unexpected?

It's actually expected behavior. This happens because the mirror modifier happens before the bevel modifier.

The bevel modifier does a pass where is makes the orientation consistent along groups of edges, but after the mirror modifier there are two groups of edges, and there's no way for bevel to know that they're supposed to be the same.

So that's it, the profile has the opposite orientation on the other side.

I wouldn't even call this a known issue, it's just expected when there's no guarantee of symmetry with the operations after the mirror modifier.

Thanks for the report @Massimiliano Puliero (mmaaxx). Unfortunately this behavior is expected the way bevel is written, and there are no plans to change how this aspect of the modifier works.

Like I said earlier, moving the mirror to after the bevel is the best way around this.

Please do make another report if you find other issues with the custom profile feature, it's new so it's bound to have some issues.
