Short description of error
The AO shader produce black artifacts all around the mesh, the old 2.79 ao shader doesn't have this problem.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
open the attached file and render.

I attach here some screenshots and the file made with blender 2.82.

Appears to be an issue with smooth shading and how it interacts with the new AO using in new versions of Blender. Can also confirm this persists for 2.83 as of today.

Think so, too.
Tweaking this to a lower Auto Smooth Angle will get rid of the artifacts [obviously not the solution though...]

It's indeed a duplicate of those other bugs, and D6250 should fix it once we can get it working well enough.

The same bug actually happens in 2.79, but it depends on the object location so it won't happen adding a suzanne mesh at the origin.
