Blender Version
Broken: (example: 2.80, edbf15d3c044, master, 2018-11-28, as found on the splash screen)
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected) blender-2.83-7c0e28594840-windows64

Short description of error Copy/ Link UV's from one geometric Object to another equal Object - mixed the faces

Exact steps for others to reproduce the errorObject Modus - Select the destination Object shift select the source Object with UV - Strg L - select Transfer UV Maps. In the destination Object becomes faces the place of another wrong face.


Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

I will quote from documentation:

Transferring UV Maps
You can copy a UV map from one mesh to another Mesh provided both meshes have the same geometry/vertex order. This is useful for example when you want to recreate a UV map from an earlier version of your model with intact UVs.

This seems to not be the case with your object
