Short description of error
When joining separate pre-painted GP strokes the weight of second stroke gets totally replaced by first one.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Create a blank file
Create GP object, draw 2 squiggles and assign each to a separate vertex group


(for the sake of experiment I duplicated that entire GP object)
now join those 2 strokes with Ctrl+J
all vertex painting is now ruined

This a know limitation actually.

But I will try to add this feature.

Pardon my complete lack of git knowledge but how would I get a version of Blender with this fix applied?

EDIT: The fix will be in the build of tomorrow or any date after the fix I did.
