Worked: not found

Short description of error
during rendering short (about 320frames) animation in Cycles on CPU I've found twelve frames that were rendered badly. There are tiles missing in them- just blank space instead of render in these tiles.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. Open file
  2. Render

You may need to render few times or render animation. Majority of images should produce bug
Issue can not be reproduced when you disable subdiv modifier in Cube.012 object

Can you upload simple example file?

ok, here is upload

Thanks for example file, I guess to reproduce we need to use hdr texture, is that correct? Also file is very slow to render. Can you simplify it as much as possible to reproduce problem as quickly as possible?

right, I forgot about hdr texture for environment. I used this one attached here. I'm not sure - how to simplify this .blend file ?

how to simplify this .blend file ?

Delete any objects that doesn't cause bug. Usually you need only handful of elements to reproduce the issue

@adrian (adi0) could you provide a simplified blend? Otherwise this report will be closed.

I don't know how to make it simplier and which (if) objects casues the problem. Please verify problem with rendering on this file. As I said - problem happens on random frames and random time and different tiles are missing at the same frame rendered few times - it means I can render the same frame with different (good or bad) result without changing anything so I really don't know what causes the problem and what not delete

We don't know either. I have been able to confirm issue now at least, but still don't know exactly what cause this. So far I got this file

It would definitely help us to strip it down further. deleting all objects seems to be too much.

I have swapped environment texture to check if that is problem and I got this result:

So tiles are not black, but rather coordinates are different somehow.

Had another go at this issue, found problematic object. If I disable subdiv modifier, the issue disappears, so perhaps there is some data corruption.

Reproducibility is now near 100%

@Richard Antalik (ISS) Hi, can you still reproduce it? Because I just tried it in 2.90 (release) and could not reproduce it...

Will have a look. Best way to check if issue is solved is to check with version mentioned in report to see if the issue is still there

Indeed this issue seems to be resolved in 2.90 release
