Short description of error
When making changes to the Res. Scale or Line Width, all UI and menu text disappears.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
In Preferences, change the Line Width to whatever, text goes POOF! Change it back...still gone. Change to a different value from the first...maybe, otherwise I have to restart Blender. Same thing happens with the Resolution Scale, though it seems more forgiving.

I've also tried this with 2.90 Alpha. Same results, except I couldn't get the text to come back at all. You have to restart Blender to fix it.

A big thanks to all you folks for creating such a fantastic program. I've been with Blender (well, off and on) since 2.0 when I saw the Official Guide in a bookstore.

P.S.: This occurs in all parts of Blender, not just the Video Sequencer as shown.
