Some Blend mode opacity in VSE (Video Sequence Editor) cannot adjust opacity
Closed, DuplicatePublicBUG

Description

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2060

Blender Version
Broken: v2.83.2 as found on the splash screen
Worked: it has never been worked, either in the previous version

Short description of error
Some Blend mode opacity in VSE (Video Sequence Editor) cannot adjust opacity

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. I gave a color strip above the video strip
  2. Then, activate "blend mode" on the color strip
  3. Some opacity modes cannot be adjusted, only "Multiply" works

Can confirm.

T75844, D7863, T76376, D7314 are related.

To me, this looks like a duplicate of T76376: VSE Opacity Not Working With Certain Blend Types or T74440: Video Sequencer: The Blend Factor in Color Mix strips is broken..
But I guess it can also be boiled down to T75844: Blend modes are broken (at least partially doing what D7863 does -- considering src2 for the factor -- seems to fix this)

Hello ! Thanks for wonderful blender 3.0, it is amazing. :)

Sadly, there is the same problem in blender 3.0 in fusion mode "screen". Thanks !
