Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.91.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2020-08-23 12:48, hash: rBe4932d1167f4
Worked: October 10th - this bug has been present in every daily build since 15th October - I have tried 15th, 17th, 20th and 24th and am unable to use any of these builds because this bug makes them unusable.
Short description of error
New files seem fine, but if you open a file made in older versions - ie, only a few days old - the objects will not be selectable unless you click really close to their origin. Selecting the mesh on the outer edges does not select, but selecting very close to the origin does work.
I'll attach a file that I am unable to select meshes on.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
- Open a file from before the 15th October?...
- Try to select a 'larger' object in the scene by clicking its outer extremities. Can you select it? No?
- Try selecting the same object by clicking close to its origin. Can you select it? Yes!
..oh, ok. sorry. this gets weirder...
Have just tested the file to upload and have found that..
- This only happens in Wireframe view
- This only happens in SOME viewports!
Try the file I uploaded and see if you get the same?
- In Layout workspace you will have 3 3d viewports open
- On my machine, in Wireframe, I can ONLY select the moon or its halo in the main, top left view - I cannot select them at all in the other 2 views?!
