Graphics card: geforce 970

Blender Version
Broken: 2.90 25.8.2020

Short description of error
the default "steps" of 1 is BAD

  • producing visual errors in moving meshes (just a cube that move L/R)
  • on moving particles it does not produce any blur on step size 1 - i have to go higher than 1 to see an blur-effect

i would suggest to set the deafult STEPS = 6 so it works out of the box

also i noticed moving default cube with steps=1 renders in 0.93 sec
default cube with steps=6 renders in 0.62 sec

so steps=6 is also faster to render the default cube :)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
move a cube
or render a baked moving particle system

With particles I would say that with 1 step the result is nicer. With cube only, the difference is subtle.
