Uncertain of exact cause. I was switching between clicking in the UV window and Edit Mode window when the crash happened. I had just download the latest Alpha and was trying to Unwrap a shape and found the Smart Unwrap that finally fixed my few remaining stretched parts--I was delighted and was examining the results when POOF, it all went away! I am hoping you can determine something from the meager crash report image.

Event Timeline

Here's the blend file (should have included above).

Cannot reproduce here (but had to load an own texture because the texture is missing)

Just to make sure we are all on the same page:

  • Could upload that file again with packed textures?

OK, the texture and normal files from Japanese website ready to download: http://www.benkyoustudio.com/Textures/TexturesBrick/
... CastleBricksF

No issue here as well.

@Paul Muns (dznwks) can you check if any older version worked? Also can you add crash report here?

Like I said, it was so unexpected that I have no way of guessing how to repeat this crash. Let's just call it a one-off and close this. IF others get more of an idea of how this happened in the future, they can report it. It happened, so I just passed it along, not knowing if it would happen somehow for others. I don't have any older Alpha's; only keep two or three.

Richard Antalik (ISS) claimed this task.

Thanks for info. If you can't reproduce the crash, we will have to close this report. We need exact steps to reproduce a bug, otherwise we would need lot of time to trigger it randomly.

If you find reliable way to reproduce please open new report.
