Copying pose or keyframes for two armature objects in one time
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

Blender Version
Broken: 2.90.1, 3e85bb34d0d7, master, 2020-09-23 06:43

Short description of error
When I try to copy the pose of bones in different armatures, only one of the armatures is copied.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. 1. Create a two separate armatures with bone.
  2. 2. Select both and go to pose mode.
  3. 3. Do some manipulate with both, and insert keyframe for your changes.

4A. Select any bones in both armatures in one time. Press Ctrl-C, select other frame, press Ctrl-V. And insert keyframe for comparing.
4B. Select keyframe in Action Editor, duplicate or copy to other empty frame.

  1. Compare keyframes.

Event Timeline

I can reproduce 4A, but I am not sure about 4B - I can select keyframes of only one bone, which may or may not be correct, but when I copy/paste keyframes, they are correct.

In any case, please create new report for 4B with additional explanation of the issue. Always make one report per one issue.

Richard Antalik (ISS) claimed this task.

I just checked code and copying pose is implemented only for active object. So perhaps this may be the issue even for second case.

Thanks for the report, but the issue reported here is a request for modified/improved behavior and not a bug in current behavior. Closing as this bug tracker is only for bugs and errors.
