Worked: -

Short description of error
I'm trying to create a fairly simple node setup for environment texture, but after a while when changing anything within the setup (deleting a node, adjusting parameters) I'm getting an error message
OPTIX_ERROR_CUDA_ERROR in optixLaunch(pipelines[PIP_PATH_TRACE], cuda_stream[thread_index], launch_params_ptr, launch_params.data_elements, &sbt_params, wtile.w * wtile.num_samples, wtile.h, 1) (device_optix.cpp:760)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
in shading mode and viewport cycles rendering just mess about with the nodes or move around the viewport for a few mins, not even adding anything, just make sure viewport render refreshes, eventually the error comes up, and cycles stops working until blender is restarted. reloading the .blend file without restarting blender doesn't work.
seems to only happen when using Optix rendering.
