Short description of error
RECORDING
Cannot deselect distinct items from multiple selection done with shift + click.
(it works if multiple item has been selected with ctrl + click)

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Scenario: 10 items in the outliner

  1. click on the 1st
  2. shift + click on the 10th ( items fomr 1-10 becomes highlighted)
  3. ctrl + click on ie: the 5th item -> does not deselect the 5th item but it sets it to active.

Expected: ctrl + click deselects the items that i don't want to include into the shift + click multiple selection.

First click makes it active (or deselects if it is active already), second click deselects (for sure).

Think this is consistent also with items having been selected with Ctrl+Click, no?

You are right... this wasn't trivial. It works. The function that I thought is missing was there.
