Closed, ResolvedPublicDESIGN

Description

Final sample file for the 'Moss' and 'Leaves' use-cases.
Fully described and documented with steps using separate workspaces.

The main goals for these two combined use-cases where to:

  • allow using whole collections as base geometry input
  • implement an intuitive but flexible workflow for the orientation of point instances
  • get a simple method to generate blobby meshes with flexbile application using the Points-to-Volume-to-Mesh workflow

Dalai Felinto (dfelinto) created this task.

I made the general setup. At this point I am still missing the ability to use a collection as the base geometry, so it is a simple make real -> join for now (Thus the large file-size).
Will update the file once that functionality is added. Also, the system can be tweaked more than this basic state.

Setup without geo-nodes:

(Instanced leaves within modular branch instancing system - results in difficulty to orient branches in a way that does not result in chaotic leaf orientation.)

Setup using geo-nodes:

(All leaves scattered on modularly assembled tree using weight maps on the twigs for distribution)

Preliminary file:
