Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

System Information
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: Nvidia 1070 Gtx
Wacom Intuos Pro L (6.3.41-1 driver) , Wacom Pen is in Pen mode (not mouse)

Blender Version
Broken: 2.92.0 Alpha, branch: master, commit date: 2020-12-10 21:48, hash: caed4849d090, type: Release

Worked: 2.91 Release

Short description of error

It looks like some bugs introduced in 2.92 regarding the Wacom hardware. These issues revolve around left click and the pressure sensitiviy.

The click precision is out of whack when using Wintab API (non Windows Ink mode ) . It is really hard to click on anything especially in the outliner. It takes many clicks to select or activate an object in the 3d viewport when the driver is set to Wintab.

These issues are pretty much resolved when one changes the driver to Windows Ink in the Tablet settings under "input" However this time the pressure sensitity is gone in the Sculpt mode. A restart after this setting does not help.

Please bear in mind that none of these issues exists in 2.91 Release with the same hardware and the same operating system.

This may be resolved by rB3a1d1aaa86d0d7cc6aaf0e6633d557bbcdd0b514, could you check if the issue is present in nightly?

Windows Ink is another issue, I've subscribed you to the appropriate task to follow.

Thanks for the follow up. I will test it out and report back.

@Nicholas Rishel (nicholas_rishel)

Unfortunately the issue is still there in blender-2.92.0-23233fcf056e. I switch to a regular mouse, the click works like charm. My wacom pen works fine in 2.91 so it is definetely not a hardware issue.

Could you try this build?

There's currently a lot of churn in how Wintab is being handled, which is necessary to add high frequency tablet events. So it's not surprising that some things need to be fixed.

@Nicholas Rishel (nicholas_rishel)

This build feels much better and improved both in the outliner and in the viewport.

I got these in the terminal, I say not frequently.
