Description

Big picture:
Just as it works on bones in Pose Mode, meshes editing could benefit from the "Relative Mirror" option.
The idea is to consider the initial offset of the mirrored vertices when the "Topology Mirror" option is enabled and move the vertices respecting that offset.
This would solve problems like T74340: Uncontrolled vertex movement in symmetric editing.

Use cases:

  • Model asymmetric objects but with a symmetrical topology avoiding unexpected jumps.

Design:

  • As seen with bones, the "Relative Mirror" option will also be available for meshes.
