Short description of error
After pressing New-button in Geometry Node Editor, the Modifiers icon does not appear in Outliner, until some operation or window redraw happens.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Start new General document with Default Cube selected
  • Drag area to add Geometry Node Editor
  • Press the New button
  • Modifiers icon not visible in Outliner
  • Grab the Cube, cancel (zooming or selecting another object is not enough)
  • Modifiers icon visible in Outliner
