Here's some progress:

We had the idea to use different names for the different domains so it's always very explicit which you're using. The name vertex_normal is quite long though, so I was thinking about the following naming:

  • normal (point domain)
  • face_normal (polygon domain, could also be polygon_normal, but that feels needlessly long.
  • corner_normal (face corner domain)
