Extreme Long Edges Not Selectable in 3D View
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

System Information
Operating system: Windows 8.1
Graphics card: GeForce GT 1030

Blender Version
Broken: 2.92.0
Worked: Not Sure

Short description of error
Long edges do not seem to be selectable if your 3D view is zoomed in from the ends of long singular edges. This seems pretty sporadic but I've noticed it a number of times here just recently, I installed over 2.91 so can't be sure. The view clip ends at 3280.84ft so I don't believe it's that or being too near due to clip start, either.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible).

Delete All
Add Plane
enter Edit Mode in Edge Mode
move two of the parallel edges to around 300' along X and -X inversely.
also move one of the connecting edges between the prior 2 along -Y 300'
should have a 300' x 600' plane now
zoom view and attempt selecting the edge while its vertices are out of view

Unselectable edge highlighted

I cannot reproduce the problem or maybe I have wrongly followed the steps to replicate it.
Could you provide a simple .blend file demonstrating the problem?
