Thanks for the report, but looking at the code, "Smooth Keys" is not a modal operator, so it was not made to work the way you describe it.
I tested it at 2.83.13 and the result is the same (are you sure you referred to the same operator?)

I fear this can't be confirmed as a bug, but a request for modified/improved behavior. So should be closed as this bug tracker is only for bugs and errors.

Hello,

thank you for your feedback!

Please look at this Youtube Video. Yes, I am shure, that I referred to the same operator.

Still seems that it isn't a bug?

Kind regards
Deney

Going back to Blender 2.83.2 (The only version of 2.83 I have on my computer), I can confirm that holding ALT+O continually smooths the key frames, same for 2.91, while 2.92 and 2.93 does not.
So the behavior has changed, just not sure if it was intentional or not.

It is quite possible that behavior has changed with rBf5080c82dd91: Keymap: disable 'repeat' by default for keymap items
You can enable the "Repeat" option on the keyitem.

Personally, I don't see holding this shortcut as an advantage.
Depending on the curve, after smoothing 4 or 5 times, the next few times hardly makes any difference.
This also adds many undo steps without the user noticing, so Ctrl Z will not reach the nearest relevant undo steps.

Thank you very much!
