Short description of error
Metadata is added to all VSE preview sidebar tabs including tabs added from add-on.
It should only be exposed in the View menu. Or in the overlay pop-over?

Not sure why the status is set to "Needs info from user", since the bug is still valid?

I was just wondering why you were thinking it was invalid back then? why not reopen that one (already had more information...)
