Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.92.0, branch: master, commit date: 2021-02-24 16:25, hash: rB02948a2cab44
Worked: (newest version of Blender that worked as expected)

Short description of error
I dont know if this is a bug or is a better feature to user interaction, but when you try to deform like in Maya with Bend deformer you just put or rotate de deformer in the axis that you need. but in blender the only way to get a correct deform is when you put de Bend deformer ONLY in Z axis, then add a object to change the reference of the rotation and could rotate in the axis that you supposedly need it in the first intance.

If the deformer has X, Y, Z Axis shold work as the standar as Bend deformer like Maya/Max/Houdini, I dont know if I can ask this as a feature or a bug?

X (Doen't work deformer):

Y (Doen't work deformer):

Z: (Works Only in this axis):

Z + Object Refernce: (Works only if you add a object to change the reference of the rotation only if is from Z Axis to deform for X or Y axiz).

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

[Based on the default startup or an attached .blend file (as simple as possible)]

Event Timeline

This behavior is explained pretty well in the manual.
Maybe this could be designed in a more intuitive way, but that would not classify as a bug.
Closing this for now. Feel free to open another report, if you have any other issue.
