In order to investigate the report, we need more information:
- Are you using the default startup file? Try --factory-startup to make sure.
- What was the last version / build that worked?
Thank you for the prompt response! i have been dragging "../Users/geraldineerman/blender-git/build_darwin/bin/Blender.app" to terminal and/or right-clicking open from directory--on both attempts icon bounces up and immediately dies/ no error report or terminal message--I updated this build yesterday afternoon--probably last time was sometime a week or so ago (2.93) and it was cranky but functional? Don't have any other version info, sorry...i am not sure how to enter ( --factory-startup) as you suggest, sorry..
This should explain how to launch blender from a terminal window: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/advanced/command_line/launch/macos.html
You just add --factory-startup to the command to get the default startup file.
Thanks.
