Short description of error
If you turn denoise -> render its by default blank, and if you don't change it just ctd on trying to render.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
1.) Open new blend
2.) Turn on denoise -(the dropdown box should be blank)
3.) Render Image - causse crash

Thanks for the report, but are not handling bug reports for cycles-x (or any other branch for that matter). There are too many known issues that will be resolved still.
