Short description of error
Blender 3.0 alpha freezes when opening a relatively large scene with animation.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Open up blender 3.0 alpha > open up the file freezing not responding
Other versions work fine and 3.0 alpha worked fine 3 releases ago

Since the bad commit might not be too far, a complex file can be accepted here. But please try to reduce its size as much as possible.

I have a cycles x branch that opens the file instantly tag: 5025757b12e3
But later versions of the cycles x branch demonstrate the same issue as with the masters
a 2.93 beta version tag: a4877f9e5408 opens the file with no problem
The stable version 2.92 crashes when opening the file

I'm glad to report that the latest build works fine with the file (Blender 3.0 alpha, hash 0a83f32d79bc)
