Hi @Emile MAEYENS (3d_2_art) , thanks for the report. Provided information is not sufficient to track the issue. Seen you already reported the issue: T90333

does not launch

Not sure what exactly happens here. Can be multiple reasons for the crash. Can you please add the log files?: https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/troubleshooting/crash.html#crash-log

3.0.0-alpha+master.836aeebf7077

Is the problem specific for this version only? Or does it also happen with other builds?

@Alaska (Alaska) , didn't refresh the page before submitting the comment :p

When I start from the Terminal in Linux Ubuntu I have this message:

e@e:~/Downloads/blender-3.0.0-alpha+master.f5cc34861076-linux.x86_64-release$ sudo blender
[sudo] password for e:
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:1089:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave
AL lib: (EE) ALCplaybackAlsa_open: Could not open playback device 'default': No such file or directory
Warning: property 'release_confirm' not found in keymap item 'OperatorProperties'

Question: Why This phrase in the terminal : "Warning: property 'release_confirm' not found in keymap item 'OperatorProperties' " ?

Question: Is Blender not open software, why then "property release"?

@Emile MAEYENS (3d_2_art) This is a warning about the keymap configuration. The "release_confirm" refers to shortcuts where the action is executed when you release the key press.

Please start Blender with ~/Downloads/blender-3.0.0-alpha+master.f5cc34861076-linux.x86_64-release/blender --factory-startup --debug --debug-gpu --debug-cycles > ~/blender-debug-log.txt 2>&1. Does this start without issues?

If it doesn't, upload the created log file as well as the .crash.txt file written to the /tmp directory. Please also check if a more recent daily build still has the issue: https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/

For future bug reports please follow this guide.

@Evan Moore (evan) Wilson (EAW)

I did not find "Ghost" as program or file, on the contrary I found "ghostscript and ghostscriptx11", I removed them, but it did not resolve the problem.

With the latest version "blender-3.0.0-alpha+master.efd7c95bb27c-linux.x86_64-release", I can launch it in Ubuntu

With the latest version "blender-3.0.0-alpha+master.efd7c95bb27c-linux.x86_64-release", I can launch it in Ubuntu

Will close then. Thanks for the report :)
