When a node group is used in the geometry nodes modifier and it has a field output, it is not clear on what domain the field should be evaluated. This either has to be set in the modifier or in the group (or there is a default in the group, and the modifier can overwrite it).

I think a default in group output + changing that in the modifier can work. As a started I think having it set only in the group output works as well.
