Add HDRI. Make shadow catcher. Render.

The shadow catcher appears to be working for me.

Looking at the version of Blender you're using, it's a bit oudated, almost two weeks old. Try updating to the latest version of Blender to see if it helps. https://builder.blender.org/

If it doesn't help, then are you able to share a .blend file and the HDRI you're using?

No activity for more than a week. As per the tracker policy we assume the issue is gone and can be closed.
