To disable a add-on, you need to go into your add-on setting, find the add-on you want to disable, then disable it.

Looking at the screenshot you just uploaded, it looks like the issue you're experiencing is that the Measurements overlays has been enabled. You can disable the Measurement overlays here while in edit mode:
