Short description of error
When you use the ADD IMAGE SEQUENCE in the VSE, in the resulting file dialog:

  1. CTRL+A does not select all the files (which I think it's supposed to):
  1. If the user selects the first file, scrolls down, and SHIFT SELECTS the last file, the list scrolls backward to display fewer files, in my case, 43 out of 250.

While all the files ARE selected, this is disorienting. I usually am forced to scroll the dialog to double-check that all has indeed been.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Enter the VSE.
RMB the ADD SEQUENCE choice in the timeline to launch a file dialog with more than one screen worth of files.
Select first file.
Scroll down and select last file.
Note where the list jumps to.

Obviously, it would be better if the list did not scroll.

Event Timeline

Selecting all files is done by pressing A not CTRL + A. And the view jumping to the first selected element once the selection happen is expected behavior.

So the issue reported here is a request for modified/improved behavior and not a bug in current behavior. Closing as this bug tracker is only for bugs and errors.
