Thanks for the report, but a simple .blend file would be very useful here, as it's not clear how displacement should be used and whether the problem is really only on Mac systems.

Hi Germano

It is strange. Now when I fired up the file in Alpha 3.1.0 it rendered in Cycles. I changed to Evee and it crashed. I relaunched Blender and it rendered in Evee but took a long time to render (rendering single frame in each case).

Here is the file

I can't replicate the problem, no matter which version is used and whether rendering with Eevee or Cycles.

Yes, like I said - now for some reason it renders fine in Cycles and no crash. The only thing now is the render time in Evee (up to one minute) and the crash that happened when I changed between the render engines (happened only once and now I change between them without an issue). So it must be some initial thing on my system!?!

@Tora Stiefel (TORA) do you still have issues with this file? If I understand your last comment the issue is resolved?

No activity for more than a week. As per the tracker policy we assume the issue is gone and can be closed.

Thanks again for the report. If the problem persists please open a new report with the required information.
