CyclesX Vulkan Compute backend
Closed, ArchivedPublic

Description

Blender 3.0 removed Cycles' OpenCL support in favor of CUDA and HIP, It would be desirable for Cycles to support Vulkan Compute because that is much more portable than either CUDA or HIP. This would support all of AMD, NVIDIA, Intel, and more (e.g. running Blender on an Arm computer with an Adreno GPU), as well as Metal, through MoltenVK.
