Metaball "Undo" crash
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

System Information
Operating system: Win10
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M

Blender Version
Broken: 3.0.0, master, 2021-12-05

  1. Adding and working with metaballs
  2. Then, by mistake, I click on any metaball (selecting them all) instead of clicking on the radius of the metaball to select only one.
  3. Press CTRL + Z to "Undo" last step...

Program stops working.

Event Timeline

Philipp Oeser (lichtwerk) changed the task status from Needs Triage to Needs Information from User.Dec 21 2021, 9:47 AM

Could you share the example .blend filoe where this happens?
note: crashes in BKE_object_boundbox_calc_from_evaluated_geometry, could be fixed already by rB6a885e5d8959: Fix meta-ball bound-box calculation reading past buffer bounds.

@Alex Lovsky (Aljnk) : could you also check if this crashes in a fresh 3.1 alpha build from https://builder.blender.org/download/daily/?

Fresh 3.1 alpha - works good :) Perfect - Thanks!

Not sure you need my file now. But I send it aniway...
