Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
[No matter if you have JPG, PNG, TGA when you use a Gamma, RGB Curve, Color Ramp the image get stepped like the image is not process as 16 bit floats, even If I change this value the image still in the same way stepped, one time in Substance Designer happened to me this I reported and the told me to change it to 16 bits float and that was all, but in blender when I change this nothing happens.]

Thank you for the report.

Try changing the color space from sRGB to Non-Color Data and see if that eliminates the artifacts.

Also please upload an example .blend file and image texture.

I dont know what happend, to day even I imported like yestarday a JPG, TGA, PNG and TIFF and with sRGB and Noncolor/Linear/Raw the same happened.
But to day even with sRGB is Not happening anymore I dont know why!
